RTC Judge Manuel Sese, head of the organizers of this year's Rodeo Festival, said they are expecting around 10,000 local and foreign tourists to watch the 2012 National Rodeo Finals which will have participants from main islands of the country.

Masbate is being considered as the Rodeo Capital in the Philippines.

Festivities will start with street dancing featuring colorful cowboy rancher garments and costumes.

Bicol Express resumes service to Albay

The real and original "Bicol Express" (not the famous spicy viand from the Bicol Region) will be back on the PNR tracks as soon as December 7, 2011.

At least, according to reports attributed to Albay Governor Joey Salceda.

The same reports said the resumption of the said PNR service was timed for the December 8 celebration of the feast of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception which they hope will augur well for the success of the renewed service.

The route will emanate from the Tutuban Central station of Philippine National Railways in Divisoria and it will go to as far as Polangui town in Albay.

The resumption of the Bicol Express route is expected to bring in more tourists and economic progress in the province of Albay and, to some degree, to all the other towns along the way.
